When My Faith is Small

As youngsters, many of us learn to put our faith in God. Likewise, we know that Habakkuk says, “The righteous live by faith,” and we are familiar with Hebrews 11, which says, “Without faith, it is impossible to please God.” But what do we do when our faith does not seem to be enough? Plans Change for Partners Craig & Bryn Hauquitz
August 28, 2008 by lpc · Comments Off
On Thursday, we received the following note from our partners Craig and Bryn Hauquitz, who work for Campus Crusade for Christ:
We are very sad to inform you that over the past few days because of a variety of circumstances two members from our team, leaving for Cameroon, Africa, were hindered from going with us and thus the whole team dissolved. This means that this year we will not be able to return to Cameroon. Please know that this does not change our hearts for taking the good news of Jesus Christ to the people of Cameroon. This is why we are still sending this booklet* that we had made before we found out about the change. We are so excited with what God has done and will continue to do in Cameroon. With that in mind, we plan to use this next year, continuing on staff with Campus Crusade for Christ, at a language school in France to better our French, enabling us to return to Cameroon and be more effective next year. As difficult as it was to see our plans change so quickly before our eyes, we know that it was not a surprise to God. God is ultimately in control, and thankfully, we know that he is using this towards our good (Rom. 8:28). Please pray with us that God would try open doors over the next week to obtain a student visa to France along with getting accepted to the language school we applied to.
With love,
Craig, Bryn, and Keenan
*The booklet mentioned is available for you to view in the hallway at the LPC facility.
