LifePoint on Twitter
Thanks for your interest in LifePoint Church on Twitter! Maybe you found us through one of our Twitter accounts or by clicking the “Enotes Via Text Message” link on LifePoint Online. However you found us, we hope you’ll consider using Twitter to keep up with us. This page is an overview of LifePoint’s ministry and leadership Twitter accounts, and we encourage you to follow as many as you like.
Enotes via Text Message
To receive enotes via text message, text ‘follow lifepointozark’ to 40404.
Non-Twitterer?
If you’re a non-twitterer, we hope you’ll consider joining Twitter to stay in touch with us. Check out this video that explains Twitter in plain English.
If you’re not ready to sign up, did you know you can follow us on Twitter without a Twitter account? All you need is a cell phone and a decent text message plan. Simply text ‘follow [username]‘ to 40404 to receive updates from any of the user names we’ve listed below.
@LifePointOzark
Our primary Twitter account @lifepointozark is the first account we suggest you follow at LifePoint. We update it with the same information that can be found in enotes via email and enotes via RSS, so you can easily avoid extra emails or items in your RSS feed. Plus, we post LPC’s Bible reading schedule every morning.
Who @LifePointOzark Follows
Because it represents the church as a whole, we’ve implemented a simple protocol for who @lifepointozark follows and who it doesn’t. Ultimately, we want this account to serve as a starting place for our LifePointers, so those we follow are who we recommend you follow. We follow…
- Other LPC members
- LPC impact and project partners
- Other tweeple (Twittering people) in the greater Springfield, Missouri area
We don’t follow…
- Spammers
- Tweeple outside the greater Springfield, Missouri area
- Anyone we wouldn’t follow on any of our personal accounts
Leadership
Many of LifePoint’s leaders are on Twitter, and you’ll enjoy learning more about them and their days by following them on Twitter. As more begin actively using Twitter, we’ll post their accounts here.
- Lead Pastor Lane Harrison: @mlaneharrison
- Worship Pastor Dennis Smith: @chefden
- Assistant to the Elders Sarah Austin: @sarahjoaustin
- Director of Creative Communications Chris Austin: @typografika
- Student Ministry Leader Chris Bryant: @cbrynt
Ministries
LPC is growing its use of Twitter for each of its ministries, and we’re adding them one at a time. Here’s what we’ve started:
- @lpc_worship: Live tweets of the 10:40 service every Sunday. An excellent resource for reviewing the sermon’s key points and finding song titles.
