Invitation
God is moving. From before creation when God’s Spirit hovered over the face of the deep, he’s been moving. And since creation he has been calling people unto himself to move with him in his flow. I believe he is drawing people unto himself even now. God moves in the hearts and lives of people, draws them unto himself, and leads them to where he is.
The question is, “How do I know if God is calling me to move with him in this?” Resonate. In the story of testimony and calling, God will resonate in your heart. You will sense a moving, a resonation, a calling. You may connect with a part of our story. You may see how God has shaped your life for this time. You may have questions, unresolved need, stirring passion for God that rings with this move of God. You do not have to have all the answers confirmed, you just have to take one more step toward God.
Father, I pray today that you would count us worthy of your calling, by your power fill us and fulfill every good purpose and every act prompted by faith, we pray this that you might be glorified in us and us in you according to your grace.” (2 Thess. 1.11–12)
Pray that the movement of God among us would sweep us into the flow and that the momentum would not be broken by anything we cling or hold tight to in the comfort of our own lives. Pray that we would move by the very power of Holy Spirit among us. Pray that even today people who are to go with us will sense this pulling into the flow, this drawing close to God in their own lives and that they will let go of the things in life that they cling to in their comforts and conveniences of life. May a holy resonation ring in their hearts and lives; may they begin to hum the song of the reconciled—the redeemed ones.
