Elder Requests
Lane Harrison, Lead Pastor
- The man: more love for Jesus, less love of Lane; more grace, less sin; more humility and repentant spirit, less pride;
more Holy Spirit, less of Lane’s spirit; strength, wisdom, discernment, and discipline in all of life: spiritual, physical,
mental and emotional
- The husband: growing intimacy with Christin, that God will continue to shape me into a godly husband that fully provides
for Christin in marriage; God's hedge of protection around our marriage, that sin and temptation would not drive a wedge
between us; that God would give us a deeper love for one another in intimacy, in life and in ministry
- The father: growing godliness and grace in parenting; that God would fill us with grace as we parent Joshua and Bethany
(Proverbs 22.6) and teach them to love and honor God in all of life (Duet 6.4-9); that Joshua and Bethany will continue to
grow in wisdom and stature, in knowledge and fear of the Lord, in favor with God and men (Lk 2.40, 52); that Joshua will find
worth and respect in being a follower of Jesus, and not a follower of the world; that Bethany would understand with faith and
receive Jesus as Savior and Lord. Pray that she would develop a heart for God to fully surrender to him and that the qualities
and character of a beautiful, godly woman would begin to develop in her young spirit; that she will find security and
cherishment in Jesus, and not in the world
- The family pastor: pray that God will guard our family from attacks that will come from spiritual leadership. Pray that God
will strengthen us to faithfully fulfill every call he places upon our life. Pray that God will grow our family in grace.
- The pastor: grace to love the people of LifePoint more intimately, to understand the role of pastor more completely and to
faithfully fulfill all the obligations of my call to pastor; wisdom, discernment, faith, courage and boldness in all; growth
in my understanding of personal spiritual formation and sharpen my ability to lead people in this transformation; clarify the
vision of LifePoint as we faithfully move forward in following Christ's leading of the church; unwavering wisdom to discern and
faith to act in leadership as I lead the mission of LifePoint; anointing to lead by the Spirit and favor with people to follow;
guard my heart from temptations of leadership: ego, pride, self-exaltation, power, money, sex/lust, greed, fame; growth in my
heart in humility, faith, grace, love, compassion, contentment, and accountability.

Dennis Smith, Worship Pastor
- Continued growth in intimacy with God for Sue and me. Strength for us to resist temptations. Boldness to spread the gospel in our neighborhood. Discipline in scripture study, memorization, and prayer.
- God to shape me into the leader and lover he wants me to be for Sue. God to bless and build our marriage and protect us from anything that would damage our relationship with each other.
- Pray that Max will continue to stay healthy and develop as a strong little boy.
- God's hand on us as parents. Wisdom and direction for us to raise up Max in godly discipline and love. Pray that God will show me how to model biblical manhood for Max.
- Discernment in leading the worship ministry. Pray that God will continue to bring gifted musicians to the team. Help me to shepherd and lead with love, wisdom, and boldness. My heart to be sensitive to God's voice. Protection from pride and selfish desires. Wisdom to lead the ministry into new areas and structures.
- Elders as we raise up and train new leaders. Discernment to recognize the future leaders God has placed in the body of LifePoint. Wisdom to mentor and train them as God desires.
- Elders as we make pivotal decisions. Keep our motives pure and hearts focused on God's will. God's wisdom in all decisions.

- For my and Summer's relationships with the Lord. Pray that he would continue to keep us locked in his Word, changing us, and revealing his will about what he wants to do in our lives.
- For our marriage to grow in intimacy and love as we go through this pregnancy. Pray that we'll learn how to handle having someone else in our daily lives.
- For our child to grow strong and healthy. Pray that we'll trust God's sovereignty and not worry.
- For our leadership in the youth ministry. Pray that they'll follow God's leading and continue to change and challenge the students to be more dedicated and resolved to follow him.
- For my work. Pray that I'll learn to better manage my time. Pray that God would show me what to change, pick up, put down, do different, etc. Pray that God would give me the resolve to do all for his glory.
- For my mom and dad. Mom has cancer, and Dad simply needs to surrender all of himself to the Lord.
