What do you offer for adults on Wednesday nights?

LPC does not have a service for adults on Wednesday nights; however, there are a handful of community groups—in home Bible studies—that meet throughout the community and throughout the week, including Wednesday nights. To connect with a community group, e-mail Micah Osborne, Director of Connections, at mosborne@lifepointozark.com.

What do you offer for college students?

We offer a community group specifically for college students that meets Wednesday evenings in Springfield, and for an intimate time of worship, prayer, and fellowship, college students gather the first Thursday evening of the month with the rest of the young adult ministry for First Thursday. There are also numerous opportunities for college students to serve and become intimately involved with the life of the church as well as be a part of meeting the needs of the community as a whole. For more information, contact Dallas Gilion, Young Adult Ministry Leader, at dgilion@lifepointozark.com.

What is LPC’s denomination?

LifePoint voluntarily affiliates with the Southern Baptist Convention for the purpose of evangelism, missions, education and training. This partnership allows LifePoint to participate in supporting six seminaries for pastoral training and over 6,000 missionaries worldwide. LifePoint is an independent, autonomous church, which means that she is not governed by a denominational agency. LifePoint is led, under the Lordship of Jesus Christ, by an Elder Council that consists of paid and non-paid men who serve to lead, teach, guard and care for the church.

What is LPC’s style of music?

We set high priority on gospel-centered, doctrinally-sound music consisting of current worship songs, music written by the people of LifePoint, and new hymn arrangements. Our music styles ranges from driving modern rock to intimate acoustic to bluegrass.

What should I wear on Sunday?

You’ll see a little bit of everything on Sundays at LifePoint. On one end of the spectrum, people wear shorts, t-shirts, and flip flops, and on the other end, people wear suits and ties, but on average, you’ll see a healthy mix of something in the middle. Bottom line: We ask you to at least wear something.

Who influences the pastors and elders?

The best way to gauge how the pastors and elders are influenced is to look at what they’re reading and what they recommend the rest of LifePoint read. Check out their recommended reading…

Who is the pastor? What is his preaching style?

Pastor Lane is committed to teaching the whole counsel of God’s Word. His sermons are expository in nature and relevant in application, which simply means he loves to teach the Bible and show how it applies to daily living. With a great love for God and people, Pastor Lane does not shy away from hard truths or topics and is committed to helping people understand the deeper truths of God’s Word that has the power to radically transform life. His heart’s desire is to encourage, challenge, and equip people to know God more intimately through a growing understanding of God’s Word. Sometimes he tries to be funny.
