Worship Vision

glorify God, magnify the Gospel, edify the Church

Since its beginning, LifePoint has existed to lead people to grow as worshipers of the living God. Ours is a congregation that seeks to live in faithful relationship with God through Jesus Christ in all of life. And the worship ministry of LifePoint plays a crucial role in that objective by leading people to glorify God, magnify the Gospel, and edify the Church in Life Together.

Therefore, we strive to exalt the nature, character, and attributes of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. In other words, our goal each week is to glorify God by demonstrating the truth about him revealed in his Word, because who he is as God makes him worthy of praise.

We also seek to magnify the Gospel. Our faith rests on the Good News that God, by his grace, saves sinners and inaugurates his Kingdom on earth through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. In fact, Paul said in 1 Corinthians 15:3 that the Gospel is of first importance. And therefore we want our worship as a church to reflect its centrality for all of life.

Lastly, we strive to edify the Church. Edification is a vital component of any corporate worship ministry. Christians are commanded to excel in building up the church (1 Co. 14:12). So in all we do, we seek to build up the Body of Christ toward greater passion and sincerity in worship in order that we might be empowered for greater faithfulness to God’s mission in the world.

To this end, we partner with the Holy Spirit to create a culture where people can encounter the greatness of God. Our desire is that Sunday would be the most thrilling day of the week for the people of LifePoint as they are being shaped by God’s Word and God’s Spirit.
